On April 26, JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (“JCHX”) released the 2023 annual performance report, announcing an operating revenue of CNY 7.399 billion, a 38.18% increase year-on-year. Stable development was achieved for the overseas contract mining and construction business, with an operating revenue of CNY 4.16 billion, up 28.83% year-on-year, accounting for 62.96% of the total contract mining sector during the reported period. 

In terms of overseas contract mining and development, both shafts of the Cukaru-Peki Copper-Gold Mine in Serbia exceed 1000m deep, representing JCHX's comprehensive strength in ultra-deep shaft sinking. Besides, the construction of the Kipushi Zinc-Copper Mine in the DRC was started as scheduled after meticulous preparation and rapid integration of the Chinese and foreign teams, achieving high level of standardization implementation, highly recognized by the Owner.

For mine resources investment, the Dikulushi Copper Mine successfully achieved its annual operating goals by constantly optimizing stoping processes and completing cemented backfill upgrading, with key production indicators such as mining and processing quantity, recovery rate, and metal output being met. The Lonshi Copper Mine in the DRC began production a quarter ahead of schedule, having established a mining, processing, and smelting project in less than two years, with 4,621.82 tons of cathode copper produced in the fourth quarter of 2023. Additionally, the San Matias Copper-Gold-Silver Mine in Colombia, jointly developed by JCHX and Ivanhoe, successfully completed the feasibility study (FS) for the Alacran deposit. In 2024, JCHX was awarded the engineering and procurement (EP) project for the Alacran deposit, to accelerate the construction and development of the San Matias mine.  

Regarding overseas corporate social responsibility, with the international operation advances, JCHX, based on the principles of sustainable development, proactively practiced overseas social responsibility, engaged in local community development, established friendly relationships with local communities, and provided support for local infrastructure construction, healthcare, community safety and education cause. Meanwhile, JCHX created job and business opportunities by prioritizing the hiring of local employees based on their experience and qualifications, providing job training, and offering salaries and benefits comparable to other mining companies there. JCHX respected local social and cultural values and strives to minimize the environmental impact of its mining activities. Both Everbright Mining SARL and Sabwe Mining SARL signed social responsibility letters with local communities around, committing to providing financial support for local education, healthcare, infrastructure construction, agriculture, sports, etc., and contributing to the sustainable development and the improvement of the living and educational standards of local communities.
