To promote the mutual exchange of standardized management practices for safe and civilized production in Zambia, 19 Chinese and Zambian employees from the Lubambe project recently visited the Chambishi project, heading to UG faces for an in-depth discussion over experiences in standardized management practices.

Accompanied by the Chinese and Zambian management team and section crew leaders of the Chambishi project, personnel from the Lubambe project conducted a thorough UG site visit to gain details regarding the mining methods and standardized management practices, as well as the progress of informatization, digitization and standardization, at stopes of different levels in both the old panels (300mL and 316mL) and the new panels (419mL, 428mL and 582mL) at Chambishi,

During the subsequent discussion session, the Zambian management team at the Chambishi project shared their experiences in enhancing standardized management from four key aspects. Firstly, to tailor make approaches to local conditions, identifying key work areas based on the actual situation of each section, and having the responsible department heads and managers personally supervise, guide, and inspect, while encouraging sections to share good practices and experiences to foster overall improvement.

Then, for key monthly standardization tasks, clearly define responsible persons and timelines, and report on task completion tracking on weekly basis.

Additionally, the project continuously improves its standardization manuals, periodically organizes central training for local shift bosses and mine captains, and requires the management to provide training and guidance to operational personnel. Strictly enforce monthly standardization work evaluations, implementing setting goals at the beginning, supervising in the middle, and assessing by the end of each month. Based on inspection results, compile standardization evaluation tables for each section and notify the findings. Furthermore, the local management team leads the monthly performance assessments for shift bosses and mine captains, with results announced by the 10th of the following month.

Through this exchange, both projects shared their site standardized management experiences, contributing to enhancing site quality and efficiency in Zambian projects.
